Background
Pineville Community Health Center (PCHC) is a full-service acute care hospital located in the heart of the mountains in Southeastern Kentucky. PCHC serves Bell County and surrounding areas by offering quality healthcare through a variety of service lines. In an area that is already medically underserved, it is crucial for the community to have a fully operational hospital close to home not only when emergencies arise but also for their everyday health care needs.
The facility is currently licensed for 120 beds. This includes 16 Swing Beds, 8 Intensive Care Unit Beds and 12 Geriatric Psych Beds. In addition, the facility is licensed for 30 Long-Term Care Beds and a Rural Health Clinic. PCHC also offers a full range of other services including an Emergency Department, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Respiratory, Surgery and Imaging services including X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography and MRI. PCHC currently employs 77 full-time equivalents.

PCHC Mission: It is the mission of Pineville Community Health Center to offer safe and quality care to Southeast Kentucky and to enhance community health through service with Compassion, Caring, Accountability, Respect and Empathy.
PCHC Vision: The staff at Pineville Community Health Center will provide quality acute and outpatient care while maintaining financial stability.
Future Goals
Pineville Community Health Center has the following business goals for FY 2023:
- Increase average daily census from 6 patients to 12 patients on Med/Surg.
- Re-open multiple service lines by utilizing existing licenses for Swing Beds, Nursing Home Beds and Behavioral Health.
- Increase volumes for existing ancillary services by executing marketing plan and leasing space.
- Expanding the Rural Health Clinic.
